Vigil & Associates is working closely with the City of Albuquerque to design a thoughtful and functional addition to Fire Station 11. The 1,068-square-foot expansion will include new bunk rooms, officer suites, and a centrally located restroom to enhance comfort, privacy, and operational efficiency for fire personnel.
As part of the redesign, one of the existing officer bunks will be repurposed and integrated into the station’s gym, supporting the department’s emphasis on health and wellness. The remainder of the existing facility will remain unchanged, preserving the station’s operational integrity while strategically increasing capacity.
This addition reflects a responsive design approach that prioritizes both the evolving needs of first responders and the City’s commitment to modernizing essential public safety infrastructure.
