Hillrise Elementary Multipurpose Addition

Vigil & Associates partnered with Las Cruces Public Schools on the Hillrise Elementary Multipurpose Addition, a project focused on improving the functionality, safety, and overall learning environment of the campus.

Key project highlights include:
* Demolition of the existing kitchen and entry canopy
* Renovation of the existing multipurpose room into new classrooms and a nurse’s station
* Construction of a new multipurpose gymnasium/cafeteria and a fully equipped kitchen
* A redesigned main entrance, featuring a contemporary canopy, site benches, and planters for a welcoming and secure entry experience
* ddition of new restrooms, storage and support spaces, and electrical/mechanical rooms
* Site grading and drainage improvements to support the new addition
* Creation of a dedicated service parking area and a new dumpster enclosure adjacent to the kitchen

To enhance security and functionality, new security doors were installed, and the main entry canopy was rebuilt to offer greater protection and presence.

Throughout construction, V&A collaborated closely with LCPS administrators, school staff, and the contractor to ensure the school remained operational with minimal disruption to students and daily activities.
