Under the previous firm of ASA Architects, Vigil & Associates’ president/principal Ray Vigil collaborated with Cuba Independent School District on the comprehensive renovation and expansion of Cuba Middle School. This project included the construction of a new gymnasium to enhance the school’s physical education and athletic facilities, as well as the installation of a modern HVAC system to improve indoor air quality and comfort for students and staff.

Additional upgrades included a complete roof replacement to ensure long-term building integrity and energy efficiency. Interior improvements involved the remodeling of existing classrooms to support updated instructional needs, renovation of restrooms to meet current accessibility and code standards, and electrical system upgrades to accommodate new technology and increased capacity. The project also incorporated various targeted expansions to support the evolving needs of the school community, ultimately creating a more functional, comfortable, and modern learning environment.
